The band started as Saber Tiger, but the band soon changed their name to Saver Tiger (横須賀サーベルタイガー) to avoid confusion with the band from Sapporo. Saver Tiger is also featured on the "Heavy Metal Force III" compilation-CD, released in 1985, with the song "Vampire". Band split up after a live show at Meguro Rockmaykan on January 28, 1987 They played a one-time concert, supporting Mephistopheles.
