Since emerging with his 2012 full-length debut, Vancouver based singer-songwriter Joshua Hyslop has accumulated over 200 Million streams worldwide and has carved out an impressive diehard fan base. His latest single "The Veil," recounts the story of Josh struggling to write the lyrics for the song. "I received word that a friend and a huge supporter of mine named Diane had passed away very unexpectedly and very young," says Josh. "It hit me pretty hard so I retreated into music as I often do. The words came very quickly after that. Though it's specifically for and about my friend, I think the lyrics can fit a lot of scenarios for a lot of people. 2020 was a brutal year and it left its marks on us. This song is, hopefully, a little light to help keep going."
