★披头四传奇巨星乔治哈里森70年代初期录音作品首度曝光 ★特蒐『All Things Must Pass』、『Living In The Material World』专辑录製期间的10首试录母带作品 奥斯卡导演马丁史柯西斯执导的纪录片「George Harrison: Living In A Material World」,透过这位披头四乐团中的谜样人物的访谈片段,彙整成一部宛如George Harrison向乐迷进行自我介绍的动人影像。环球音乐在2012年春季,将纪录片中出现的歌曲与George Harrison个人歌唱生涯早期的创作曲彙整成精选特辑【Early Takes Volume 1】,此张特辑中的所有曲目都是首度曝光的录音作品。 George Harrison在披头四解散之后,邀请披头四战友Ringo Starr、吉他之神Eric Clapton共同合作摇滚史上首套以三张唱片型式发行的专辑『All Things Must Pass』,专辑蝉连英美排行冠军,专辑中的单曲"My Sweet Lord"也是称霸英美冠军;他在1971年与印度西塔琴大师Ravi Shankar发起摇滚音乐史上首场以世界危机为主题的慈善演唱会「The Concert For Bangladesh」。George Harrison在滚石杂志2011年版的史上百位最伟大吉他手名单上排名第21位。 此张特辑由2006年与製作人父亲George Martin携手製作以披头四名曲编排的太阳剧团剧码「Love」原声带的Giles Martin担纲製作,Giles在2009年接受George的遗孀Olivia的邀请,前往George生前贮藏音乐创作的Friar Park庄园录音室,挖掘George之前未曾公开的录音作品,如今随著纪录片的推出,集结成精选特辑【Early Takes Volume 1】发行,这些珍贵录音作品包括:1970年专辑『All Things Must Pass』中的"Behind That Locked Door"、"All Things Must Pass"、"Run Of The Mill"、"My Sweet Lord"等歌曲的试录母带,还有"I`d Have You Any Time"、"Awaiting On You All"、"Woman Don`t You Cry For Me"等歌曲的创作雏形版本,以及后来成为『Living In The Material World』专辑中的"The Light That Has Lighted The World"试录母带版本,George Harrison翻唱法国歌手Gilbert Becaud经典名曲"Let It Be Me"的录音版本,Bob Dylan创作曲"Mama You`ve Been On My Mind"的试录母带版本。 Early Takes: Volume 1 is a pivotal companion piece to Martin Scorsese’s critically acclaimed documentary on the life of George Harrison, Living In The Material World. The album features a wealth of previously unreleased recordings from Harrison, including early takes of "I’d Have You Anytime" and "Awaiting On You All", plus unheard demo versions of "Behind That Locked Door", "All Things Must Pass", "Run of the Mill" and "My Sweet Lord"; all later featured on Harrison’s 1970 chart-topping album All Things Must Pass. Other unreleased tracks include demos of "The Light That Has Lighted the World", "Let It Be Me", Bob Dylan’s "Mama You’ve Been on My Mind", and an early take of "Woman Don’t You Cry For Me".
