A simple and spare recording, featuring only clarinet and accordion, that still manages to be layered in emotion. Trovesi and Coscia are fine musicians and have a wonderful dialogue throughout the album, resulting in something that defies simple classification. It's like jazz from a sidewalk cafe in another time: haunting, charming, and more than a little melancholy.
