LA-based pop singer-songwriter, Rosie Darling, is known for her signature flowing melodies and gut-wrenching lyrics. “Golden Age” is Rosie’s statement on missing out during a pivotal time of her life - all of the exciting things she should have experienced post-college were taken away because of the pandemic. She describes it as “wasted youth” expanding that “With the impact of the pandemic on the mental health of lots of people my age, it really felt like the so-called “best years of my life” were slipping away a little, so I wanted to write about that feeling of longing to live out those moments everyone wants to have in their 20s.” The track builds to a driving chorus with a sing-along asking the question of “Where’s my golden age?” The energetic song showcases another side of Rosie that unleashes her angst, while retaining the emotional prowess that she’s known for. Rosie’s clear vocals evoke some of her favorite contemporaries including Chelsea Cutler, Julia Michaels, & Olivia Rodrigo.
