My Little Radio
The track “My Little Radio” is where it all began. I started listening to music on my 6 transistor when I was 9 years old. Like most kids my age, I listened to such pop radio artists as The Beatles, Beach Boys, Buddy Holly, and Carl Perkins. I was also heavily influenced by country artists including George Jones, Roger Miller, Johnny Cash and Buck Owens. I’ve been writing songs for 20 years. My writing style is simple and it relates to events that happen in everyday life.
My buddies and I go on frequent motorcycle road trips. One day last summer we broke down in a town called Farley, Iowa. It’s not everyday that you break down in a town with a name that rhymes with Harley. I decided then, that it was a perfect opportunity for the song, “When You Break Down On Your Harley, It’s Good To Be In Farley”.
In 2006, both of my daughters got married. I wrote a song for each of them on their wedding days. Dancing with my daughter to the recording of “Take Care of Her Heart” made that dance even more speci
