The sampling is done in such a way that it sounds as if some movie is gonna start. This actually creates an image in our mind that some great music is coming on our way. 02 So Close, So Far (Feat. Bun B, Wale And Colin Munroe) A smooth song starts with “Bun B” taking the charge and representing the Southern hiphop music. He raps in a dope way. Next comes the newest rapper to debut in 2009 ” Attention Deficit”. He says “High lays low cuz my bills too high” 3 Critically Acclaimed (Feat. Lil Fame, Saigon And Sean Price) Statik again strikes back with a Rock sample. Saigon and the team make the most of the beat. They keep on shouting “New City” in the chorus. The rapper who surprised me the most in this song was SEAN PRICE. Damn !! he spit some dope lines. Last time i remember listening him was on “Jesus Price Supastar”. 04 Night People (Feat. Freeway, Red Cafe And Masspike Miles) This isssssss the 2ND BESSSSSSSSST song on the album. When i heard the beat i was like Daaaaaaaaaaamn !!!!!. The sample goes hard as hell. The Drums are going to make you go Crazyyy. Freeway totally kills the song. Red Cafe who we usually see coming on Club bangers , Seems to be a good relief for finally rapping over good hiphop music. Two thumbs up to Statik, he has officially become one of my fav producers from today 05 Follow Me (Feat. Smif N Wessun) This a dark beat. The song has dark shades all over it, be it lyrics or the beat. 06 Do It 2 Death (Feat. Lil Fame, Havoc And Kool G Rap) The song has a chorus.”DO it, do it death, do it to death SHOW OFF SHOW OFF !!” . A good beat but gets repetitive with scratching and all. Havoc and Kool G rap take control on the song. 07 Come Around (Feat. Termanology And Royce Da 5′9) The sample is sooooooo awesome. Brings back memories of how kanye west used to make beats in his early Rockafella days. I recommend this song to everyone. One of fav songs on the album. Royce Da 5′9 does good rapping. 08 Drunken Nights (Feat. Reks, Joe Scudda And J.F.K.) Joe Scudda , Reks , J.F.K create a gem of a song. The flow is cool. The beat and the chorus sounds as if it was perfect for the Kid Cudi album. 09 Life Is Short (Feat. Consequence) Consequence is an underrated rapper and y’all would have seen him rapping some verses on Kanye West album. He too came up with an Album “Don’t Quit Your Day Job!”. This song sounds as if it was originally made for Kanye’s “College Dropout”. A good song overall. 9/10 10 100 Proof (Interlude) (Feat. J.F.K.) Short littler Interlude where J.F.K talks about himself. 11 The Thrill Is Gone (Feat. Styles P And Talib Kweli) This is joint that i’ve been waiting to hear on the album. The beat samples Notorious B.I.G ’s verse. Styles P gives an average performance on the song. But the man who totally owns the song is Talib Kweli. Another gem of a song by Statik. 10/10 12 Get Out (Feat. Skyzoo, Rapper Pooh, Torae And Lee Wilson) This song reminds me of the days when i used to listen to DE LA SOUL. Skyzoo , Pooh , Torae ride with the beat. The beat is deep. 8.5/10 13 Laughin (Feat. Souls Of Mischief) When the beat started it reminded me of the song “Through The Wire” by Kanye West. The beat and the whole vibe of the song is sooooooooo dope !!!. After listening to this song you will have a realisation that this is what real hiphop is. 10/10 14 The Coast (Feat. Evidence, Fashawn And Kali) Dilated People’s member Evidence outshines other rappers. The beat is ok. 15 Fake Love (Yes Men) (Feat. Reks, Kali, Termanology And Good Brotha) A good Timepass song.
