This album concentrates on the themes of maturing when you're not ready. You're a man now and you still feel like a child. You still carry those childhood scars, beliefs, crushes and expectations, but you're no longer there. And you will never be there again. From the guitar of his late mother, Joseph wrote these songs to put his life into perspective and to figure out what it means to move forward. Inspired by the music of another generation, he created the album for himself in the classic style of what most suited him. The songs range from just a man and his guitar to full band. All music and lyrics were written by McCarthy. He hopes you will find through listening, what he found through writing. Enjoy.
