Capriccio

The oboe, clarinet and bassoon comprise, The Whirling Winds Reed Trio. On our new CD Capriccio, we perform some of our favorite selections from our library. In the 1930' and 1940's, Paris had the reed trio of the day, Trio d' anches de Paris. The music written for the trio ranges from playful to lighthearted and thoughtful to serious. In Capriccio we explore the full spectrum of the French reed trio music. The process of choosing music for Capriccio was based on our favorite music to play. We were all in agreement that Mozart Divertimenti's were at the top of our list. We hope you enjoy listening to Capriccio as much as we enjoyed recording it. P.S.
