With original guitar by Kelly Brown, bass by Dino DiNicolo and drums by Travis Nelson, UnoMas is one of the freshest, groove-based, live acts Vancouver has to offer! It's safe to say Kelly Brown is an experienced guitarist, producer, and DJ. He's done three continental tours, 7 Southeast Asian tours including Indonesia and Taiwan with a quick stop in Thailand in Y2K to play a show for the King of Thailand himself. He has studied many different styles of guitar under the guidance of Ed Bickert, Ihor Kukarudza and finished a jazz performance degree at Capilano University; while owning a soft spot in his heart for the "soul jazz" and "be-bop" era. In his playing, you can hear influences such as: Herbie Hankock, Joe Zawinul, Wynton Kelly and John Ambercrombie to name a few. He teaches, yet Kelly Brown is the consummate student, ever passionate and ready to explore the next musical moment.Dino DiNicolo, a master musician, has a groove so deep that it moves the mind, the body and the soul. Dino has captivated audiences around the world with his humility, and innate charisma. His career has taken him to the countries of Hawaii, Japan, Grand Cayman, New Zealand and across the continents of Europe and North America. Through years of working in the music industry with EMI Publishing Canada, Ben Kaplan, Chris Potter and Law & Order’s Michael Moriarty (to name just a few) Dino has become one of the most in- demand, versatile bassists in Vancouver, and abroad. His two solo CD releases: 'Beautiful' and 'New Day Baby’ have been great independent successes and have fueled the fire for the work on his third upcoming solo CD, and of course, the next UnoMas CD. Drumming since his adolescence, he moved from his home in the interior of BC, to study and pursue a career in music in Vancouver. His drumming emulates the influences he carries within him, through his great passion for Hip Hop, Jazz, Reggae, Rock, Fusion, and Latin genres. As well as drumming, he also follows a blossoming career in visual arts, with clients such as Disney's TRON2, Nickelodeon and Scion (the automobile manufacturer). For Travis Nelson, rhythm is a must have, because he believes it is everything. After months of intense negotiations, UnoMas finally made a deal with gravity, to share the responsibility of holding it down.
