Want a Rave

Italian producers and DJs Ingrid and the Berlin based Nico Cabeza join forces on KKU042, an energetic display of their passion for techno music and, unsurprisingly, the mighty rave. Title track Want A Rave features ethereal chorals voicing a thought on many music lovers’ minds right now: “I want a rave”. Centered around a straightforward, heavy-hitting bassline and vaporous pads, it aptly encompasses the intense peak time moment on a dark and sweaty dancefloor. Beirut 03 connects uniquely to the ethos of Kuukou, which means “airport” in Japanese, as it contains a vocal announcing “Next flight to Beirut is at gate 03”, among a meandering bassline counterbalanced by spiralling synths and memorable, dance-triggering pads.
