Myaskovsky Symphonies, Vol. 8 - Svetlanov

Evgeny Svetlanov's recordings of the complete symphonic works of Nikolai Miaskovsky, made for the most part during the collapse of the Soviet Union, were a labor of love that brought the composer, who fused Russian romanticism and 20th century tonal grandeur, long-overdue international recognition. Svetlanov's recordings achieved unanimous critical acclaim upon their release.
